TotalEnergies will supply Chinese company Sinopec with 2 million tons of liquefied natural gas (LNG) per year for 15 years starting in 2028, according to a press release from the French energy company.

"As part of its liquefied natural gas (LNG) development strategy, TotalEnergies announces the signing of a sales agreement with Sinopec for the supply of 2 million tons of LNG per year for 15 years, starting in 2028," the statement reads.

It should be noted that the agreement was signed as part of a strategic cooperation agreement between the two companies, concluded earlier this year.

France's TotalEnergies is one of the world's largest energy companies. Operating in more than 130 countries, it produces oil and gas in Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, the Asia-Pacific region and the Americas.

China Petroleum and Chemical Corporation (Sinopec) is one of the largest petrochemical companies in China. Sinopec's business includes oil and gas exploration, oil refining, petrochemicals, mineral fertilizer production, and oil and gas transportation.
