VENEZUELA READY TO OFFER BRICS+ A PACKAGE OF OIL PROJECTS

Venezuela is ready to offer BRICS+ countries a package of projects and opportunities in the oil sector, said President Nicolas Maduro.

"Delcy Rodriguez (Venezuela's vice president and oil minister - ed.) came to offer a package of projects and investment opportunities to the BRICS+ countries and there is good news in this area," Maduro told reporters who met him at Kazan airport.

The BRICS summit will take place in Kazan from 22 to 24 October.

BRICS is an interstate association created in 2006. Russia took over the BRICS presidency on January 1, 2024. The year began with the accession of new members to the association: in addition to the Russian Federation, Brazil, India, China and South Africa, it now includes Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. The Russian presidency of BRICS is held under the motto of strengthening multilateralism for equitable global development and security. As part of its presidency, the Russian Federation organizes more than 200 political, economic and social events.
