The Kyrgyz Council of Ministers has imposed a ban on the export of petroleum and petroleum products from its territory outside the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), the government press office told reporters.

According to the report, Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev held a meeting to ensure the supply of petroleum products on the domestic market. The meeting discussed supplies, reserve volumes, and petroleum product logistics. Particular attention was paid to supply stability, preventing shortages on the domestic market, and preventing unjustified price increases for fuels and lubricants.

Representatives of relevant ministries and agencies presented reports on the current situation and proposals for process optimization.

"In the context of the current situation, it was specifically noted that a previous Cabinet of Ministers decree imposed a temporary ban on the export of petroleum and petroleum products from the Kyrgyz Republic outside the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union," the press office stated.

Following the meeting, Kasymaliev issued a series of specific instructions to relevant government agencies to strengthen price controls for fuels and lubricants and build sufficient reserves. He emphasized the need to respond promptly to any changes in the market situation and take timely measures to ensure sufficient supplies of petroleum products to citizens and businesses.
