FRANCE: SOMETHING HAS BEEN FOUND THAT WILL REPLACE OIL AND GAS - $92 BILLION UNDERGROUND

French scientists have made a discovery that could change the production of clean energy.

In Folschwiller, in the Moselle region, they have discovered 46 million tons of natural hydrogen. It could become a new source of carbon-free fuel and change global energy strategies.

The study was conducted by the Laboratorio di Georisorse and the CNRS while they were looking for methane, but instead, at a depth of 1,250 meters, they found a huge deposit of white hydrogen. This type of hydrogen already exists in nature and does not require industrial production, unlike “green” and “gray” hydrogen.

The newly discovered field accounts for more than half of the world's annual production of "gray" hydrogen, without harming the environment. If produced efficiently, white hydrogen could become a clean and cheap energy source that eliminates CO₂ emissions. The discovery is estimated to cost about $92 billion.

Dr. Jacques Piron, who took part in the study, noted that natural hydrogen could be much more abundant than previously thought. If efficient methods were found to extract it, it could become a powerful source of clean energy, writes interestingengineering.
