ENI SOLD ITS ALASKA OPERATIONS FOR $1 BILLION

ENI has completed the sale of its Alaska assets for $1 billion to American energy company Hilcorp, the Italian company said in a press release.

"ENI announces the completion of the $1 billion sale of 100% of its Nikaitchuq and Oooguruk assets in Alaska to Hilcorp," the statement read. It announced the closing of a similar deal at the end of June.

The Italian company emphasizes that it will continue its presence in the United States in exploration and production in the Gulf of Mexico, as well as in investment projects in the field of renewable energy and biofuels.

ENI is a company operating in 61 countries, with a workforce of over 32.3 thousand people. It is engaged in the exploration, development and production of oil and gas, refining, marketing, trading and transportation of raw materials, as well as renewable energy sources.
