ENI AND BP RESUME GEOLOGICAL EXPLORATION IN LIBYA

Italian energy company ENI and Britain's BP have resumed exploration activities in Libya after halting them in 2014, the Libyan National Oil Corporation (NOC) said.
“Italy's ENI and Britain's British Petroleum have resumed exploration activities in Libya after halting drilling operations in 2014,” the NOC said in a statement.
The company also noted that Spanish oil and gas company Repsol and Austrian OMV are preparing to resume their operations in Libya in the coming weeks.
In early October, the state of force majeure was lifted in all Libyan fields and ports and oil production and exports were restored after the Eastern House of Representatives and the Tripoli-based Supreme Council of State agreed on the candidacy of a new head of the country's Central Bank.
In late August, the government of Eastern Libya, authorized by the House of Representatives (Parliament), declared force majeure in all sectors and announced the suspension of oil production and exports. The government statement said the decisions were taken in response to attacks and attempted intrusions into the headquarters of the Central Bank of Libya, based in Tripoli.
