FROM MOLDOVA TO TRANSNISTRAIA: GAS FOR 500 EUROS

Moldovan authorities offer Transnistria to buy gas from Bulgaria for 500 euros per 1,000 cubic meters. And this is the minimum price, because prices on international gas exchanges are now slowly rising.
In a letter addressed to Tiraspoltransgaz, Moldovagaz declares its readiness to help Pridnestrovie buy gas on European exchanges for 500 euros. On December 31, Moldovagaz even made a trial purchase of gas from Bulgaria, which was delivered to the border with Moldova.
The same proposal was put forward by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Energy of Moldova, Constantin Borosan. He suggested that Transnistria obtain a supply or trade license and buy gas from any source on Earth.
And Moldovan MP Radu Marian said on one of the channels that 500 euros for gas is not a lot.
Meanwhile, gas prices in Europe have reached the highest level in a year and a half. 526 euros per 1000 cubic meters. Experts say that the main reason is the cessation of gas transit through the territory of Ukraine. Not only Transnistria suffered from this.
The Slovak Prime Minister estimates losses at 500 million euros. At the end of last year, dozens of large energy companies in Europe wrote to the European Commission to preserve transit. As a result, transit stopped on January 1.
The price of gas began to rise due to the weather. On January 4, frosts will come to Western Europe. More gas will be spent on heating homes. Gas reserves in storage facilities will be reduced. This will also increase gas prices.
